Cappadocia Package Tour From Istanbul

We take you to Cappadocia, the imaginary space of fantastic stories and the paradise of the earth. Cappadocia is home to a great many civilizations throughout the history of mankind. Cappadocia is waiting for you with its magnificent geography of millions of years. In addition to its interesting geological structure such as fairy chimneys, amazing valleyes, cave churches, cave settlements are rare natural and cultural center.

Day 1 : Flight to Cappadocia from Istanbul – Cappadocia Tour I
Meal : Lunch
05:00 am – Our team will collect you right from your hotel in Istanbul for transfer to airport.
(The pick up time can change according your hotel location and season)
07:00 am – Fly from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevsehir airports.
(Please note that flight departure time can be changed according to avalibilty)
08:20 am – Arrive in Kayseri / Nevsehir Airprot.
You will be picked up from the airport and drive to Cappadocia and you will be dropped off at our meeting point.

Then we start to the Cappadocia tour by visiting Red valley and explore the famous rock- cut churches and hike 3,5 km through the Gulludere valley. Then continue to visit Cavusin village. Old Cavusin was abandoned several decades ago due to avalanches.The current village of Cavusin is located on the road. Old Cavusin, with its rock-cut dwellings and stone houses, had several hermitages. The two most important churches in Cavusin village are the Great Basilica dedicated to Santa John the Baptist (located on the cliff above the village) and Cavusin church or the “Great Pigeon House” commemorating a visit of the famous Cappadocian Emperor Nicephorus Phocas. We continue drive to local restaurant for have lunch. After lunch drive to the Pigeon Valley. After visiting Pigeon Valley, drive for visiting Underground City, where early christians lived in fear and faith. The an- cient name was Enegup. The houses in the village are constructed around the nearly one hundred tunnels of the underground city, which is one of the most interesting underground settlements in Cappadocia. The underground city was originally carved out as eight floors, however four floors are available to visit. In wartime about 5000 people can refuged in. The tunnels are still used today as storage areas, stables, and cellars. On the way back visit the natural castles at Ortahisar.
At the end of the Cappadocia tour I, you will be transferred to hotel. Enjoy your night at hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 2 : Cappadocia Tour II  &  Return to Istanbul
Meal : Breakfast, Lunch
09:30 am – Our team will collected you right from hotel and start the second Cappadocia guided tour.
Drive to meeting point where you will meet our other tour participants. Our first real encounter with Cappadocia almost martian landscape is in the Dervent valley. we continue our tour with visiting Pasabaglari “fairy chimneys”, where the voice of the wind harmonizes with songs of the fairies. From here we pause at Avanos centre of terracotta art which is a popular destination because of its attractive old town with cobbled streets, and views over the river and is its production of earthenware pottery, it is also the most economic activity in the town. The ceramic trade in this district and its countless pottery factories date right back to the Hittites, and the ceramic clay from the red silt of the Kızılırmak has always been used. A visit to ceramic & tile center to see how the ceramics made by hand. After lunch, we continue to visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia. People of Goreme, at the heart of the Cappadocia Region, realized that these soft rocks could be easily carved out to form houses, churches, monasteries. These Christian sanctuaries contain many examples of Byzantine art from the post-iconoclastic period. These frescoes are a unique artistic achievement from this period. We complete the tour with a visit to the Uchisar Rock-Castle which has the numerous hollowed-out containers, rock tombs, and a large water-cistern all welcome you as silent witnesses to history and human life giving you a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia.
At the end of the 2 days Cappadocia package tour, we will take you to Kayseri / Nevsehir Airport.

19:20 am – Flight from Nevsehir / Kayseri to Istanbul
