Troy Assos Ayvacik & Local Village Tour

Troy Assos Ayvacik & Local Village Tour is a great chance to explore local villages and feel the real Turkish local life. While you are in Canakkale and already visited Gallipoli Peninsula and looking for village life, this tour is the best suitable day tour for you.

Meals : Breakfast, Lunch
08:00 Pick up from your hotel and transfer to meeting point. Depart from hostels / hotels.
08:30 We will pass a cross Dardanelles from Eceabat to Canakkale over the famous waters.

08:40 Arrival in Canakkale. Today our first visit will be Troy Anceint City.

* Visiting Troy :  We will visit Troy Ancient City with a local english speaking guide to see the remains of 9 city levels destroyed over time by different forms of destruction both human and natural. Our local tour guide will inform us about myth stories  and history of Troy behind the excavations. You will also ahve time to take photo at top of replica of wooden Trojen Horse.

* Visit Ayvacik : After visiting Troy, drive to Ayvacik, is a small non touristic town with a great Friday market where you can buy all sorts of local produce, fruit & vegetables and handicrafts. You’ll have plenty of time to wander around and maybe even pick up a few bargains! You will have lunch in Ayvacik.

* Visit Assos : After having lunch in Ayvacik, drive to Assos where we will see  traditional stone houses, village set upon a mountain side with a beautiful harbour down the bottom, overlooking the Lesvos Island. We also visit Athena Temple on the highest point of the mountain and have Turkish tea at a local Cay (tea) House and watch the great view.

* Late afternoon we will drive to another small local village
Here you will wander the traditional village and sightseeing around such as thatched summer houses for the sheep and old wheat crushing wheel. Your day out will be topped off by a visit to local houses.

Afterwards, we will depart for going back to hotel. Late evening, arrive in Canakkale or Eceabat and transfer to your hotel. Tour ends.
